On February 15, 2005 Rooster was about to
leave for a run to Texarkana and he noticed that there was an Amber
Alert out. A 17-year-old female from Plano, Texas had been
discovered missing, with Roosters sister living in Plano that caught
his eye. The television show gave a brief description on what to
look for. Rooster headed out on his run and noticed a car that fit
the description of what the television had said and notifed police.
The police caught them, put the “ex-boyfriend” in custody and the
girl is safe at home in Plano.
On February 25, 2005 Charles “Rooster”
Cogburn received three awards.
One award
given to Rooster was an award from the Arkansas State Police.
Captain J.R. Hankins the commander of the Arkansas State Police
Troop J gave this award.
Two awards
from T.L.I. were given to Rooster for his heroism. Tim Harrell,
President of T.L.I, gave them.
We all at
T.L.I. want to congratulate Rooster for his heroism that he gave to
the community.
